Asalato Workshop

Asalato, also known as the African finger drum, is a fascinating percussion instrument that originates from West Africa. In this workshop, you will have the unique opportunity to not only learn the basic techniques of playing the Asalato but also to create your own instrument.

Our workshop begins with a hands-on crafting session, where you will make your own Asalato. Participants can freely choose colors, decorations, and add artistic touches to their creations. This creative process allows you to express your personality and foster a sense of belonging to your instrument.

Once your Asalato is complete, you will enter the world of rhythm and music. Our experienced instructor will guide you through engaging lessons, teaching you how to hold and play the Asalato with your fingers. You will learn various basic techniques such as striking, flipping, and rolling the beads to produce captivating sounds and rhythms.

The workshop emphasizes interactivity and fun, incorporating games and activities to enhance the learning experience. You will have opportunities for individual and group practice, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Through rhythm exercises and challenges, your coordination, focus, and musicality will be developed.
